Notice of Public Hearing The Urbana Township Board of Trustees, Champaign County, OH, will hold a public hearing concerning proposed amendments to the Urbana Township Zoning Resolution on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. at the Urbana Township Hall. The building address is 2564 State Route 54, Urbana, Ohio 43078. The proposed amendments, initiated by motion of the Zoning Commission, propose to amend Article II Definitions by adding a definition of “Battery Energy Storage System, Small Off Site” and “Data Center”, update definitions related to dwellings and manufactured/mobile homes, and update definitions related to solar energy systems. It also amends Article V Administration by updating public notice requirements and Board of Zoning Appeals public hearing timelines, Article VI Amendments by adding clarity and removing much of the process and replacing it with a reference to ORC 519.12 for the necessary steps, and Section 1061 Solar Panels. It also updates text throughout the Resolution regarding manufactured/mobile homes. The text and map(s) of the proposed amendment will be available for examination at the Champaign County Library between the hours of 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
