Champaign County Auditor Real Property Delinquent Taxpayer NOTICE Notice is hereby given, as required by Section 5721.03 of the Ohio Revised Code, that there will be published on an insert in the Urbana Daily Citizen a list of owners of delinquent real estate in Champaign County, Ohio on October 24th and October 31st, 2025. Real estate tax is a tax assessed on land and improvements. The majority of the proceeds from this tax go to support our local school districts. Each owner (or their agent) has been sent a bill by the Champaign County Treasurer and has failed to make timely payments. All persons having an interest of any kind in the lands to be advertised will please note the following methods of payment provided by law. Pay the outstanding amount in full by October 21st, 2025; or enter into a contract with the Champaign County Treasurer, which would permit the delinquent tax to be paid in installments, may eliminate those owners from publication. Parcels remaining unpaid after being certified delinquent may become subject to foreclosure proceedings as provided in section 5721.14 of the Ohio Revised Code. The lands may also be subject to a tax certificate sale under section 5721.32 or 5721.33 of the Ohio Revised Code.
